PH Balance of Payments Swings to $1.47B Deficit in July

The Philippines' balance of payments — the broadest measure of the country's financial transactions with the rest of the world — swung to a $1.47-billion deficit in July, reversing two consecutive months of surpluses, according to data released by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the central bank, late Wednesday. The figure reversed the $3.4-billion surplus recorded in June and widened sharply from the $167-million deficit in the same month last year [1][2][3].
