De Claro Takes Over DICT as NTC Orders Now Telecom to Pay ₱4.04B

Robert Joseph de Claro was sworn in as the new secretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology on October 13, replacing Henry Aguda, who resigned amid an Ombudsman probe into an alleged ghost internet scheme. The same day, the National Telecommunications Commission ordered NOW Telecom to pay ₱4.04 billion in unpaid supervision and regulation fees, and clarified that its draft rules on refurbished devices will not ban the secondhand phone market.

The Report October 14, 2026

Robert Joseph Montes de Claro took his oath as secretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) before President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at Malacañang on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, hours after the Palace announced he would replace Henry Aguda, who resigned while the Office of the Ombudsman investigated an alleged "ghost internet" scheme in the department's Free Wi-Fi program.1452 The appointment was the day's most consequential development for the telecommunications sector: the DICT sets the policy environment that carriers, internet providers, and digital platforms operate in, and its new head arrives with a stated three-month deadline to produce what he called a "clear-cut plan" for the agency.4

De Claro came from the Social Security System (SSS), the state pension fund, where he was president and chief executive officer and where he led the digitalization of member services.456 Marcos cited his "very strong background in terms of the digital economy and the digital world," noting he chaired the SSS Information and Technology Collection Committee, represented the pension fund on the board of Union Bank, and chaired the board of Union Digital Bank.5585 Rappler reported he holds a computer science degree from De La Salle University and has more than three decades of corporate experience.58 He is the third person to head the DICT under Marcos, after Aguda and Ivan E. Uy.4

The appointment drew the most discussion on Reddit, where a thread asking "What do you expect from the new DICT Secretary?" drew 53 comments and 63 upvotes — more comments than any single news item in the material — and a commenter on a separate thread wrote "won't get my hopes too high though."6157 The SSS's own Facebook post congratulating him drew 33 likes, 36 loves, and 22 shares, the warmest measurable response of any item in the set.56 Regional radio pages carried the news in Ilocano and Cebuano, repeating his pledge to review all projects, budgets, and procurement.6265

Away from the Palace, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) — the agency that regulates telecom carriers and radio frequencies — ordered NOW Telecom, a broadband provider affiliated with publicly listed NOW Corp., to pay ₱4.04 billion in outstanding supervision and regulation fees plus penalties.81 The fees are the annual charges the NTC collects from telecom operators for supervising and regulating them. NOW Corp. disclosed that the NTC's demand letter, dated September 9, 2026, required payment on or before September 30, 2026, and that NOW Telecom had disputed the basis of the assessment and asked the DICT and the NTC on October 9 to review and recompute the fees year by year beginning in 2005.8193 The NTC also moved to calm fears about its draft rules on refurbished mobile devices, saying the proposal would not ban the secondhand market and would apply only to businesses dealing in commercial quantities, not individuals selling their own phones.9193

Key themes

  1. De Claro takes the DICT with a three-month review deadline. The new secretary said he will conduct a thorough review of all DICT projects, budgets, and procurement and produce a clear plan within three months, a timeline that sets the near-term operating environment for carriers and contractors working with the agency.4
  2. The ghost internet probe remains open and unresolved. Aguda resigned while the Office of the Ombudsman — the state body that investigates government misconduct — examined a Free Wi-Fi contractor that allegedly billed the government inflated prices for undelivered internet services. De Claro declined to say whether his predecessor should be held liable.454
  3. NOW Telecom disputes a ₱4.04 billion NTC assessment. The broadband provider asked the DICT and the NTC to recompute supervision and regulation fees dating back to 2005, saying it disagrees with the basis of the assessment.8193
  4. The NTC says its refurbished-device rules will not kill the secondhand market. Deputy Commissioner Alvin Blanco said people can still buy, sell, or swap their own phones as long as they are not doing it in bulk as a business.9193
  5. FinTech Alliance PH backs de Claro and names its priorities. The digital finance industry group, with more than 170 corporate members, asked the new secretary to focus on connectivity, cybersecurity and fraud prevention, and digital inclusion.4
  6. The House approved a social media ban for children under 13. House Bill 11566, the proposed Safe and Friendly Environment for Kids in Digital Spaces (SAFE KIDS) Act, passed on third and final reading with 287 votes in favor, three against, and none abstaining, and would restrict access for teenagers aged 13 to below 18.86
  7. PLDT and Smart launched a consumer AI workspace. AI.Smart bundles image generation, spreadsheets, slides, and documents into one portal, with plans priced from ₱49 for seven days to ₱499 for 30 days with team seats, according to a subscriber account on Reddit.10
  8. Subscribers reported service and registration problems across providers. A Converge ICT subscriber said technicians refused to repair a connection because the named account holder was absent, a GOMO user said Apple verification codes never arrived, and Smart users described SIM registration difficulties.68696

How the narratives stack

Dominant: The DICT leadership change dominated the day's coverage across the items captured here. National outlets — the Philippine Daily Inquirer, BusinessMirror, The Manila Times, Philstar, GMA News, Rappler, and the state-run Philippine News Agency — all reported the appointment, and the story carried the heaviest coverage value in the set, with Philstar's report alone accounting for an estimated ₱370,307 in advertising-equivalent value and the Manila Times item at ₱227,668.11085 The dominance is partly a property of the captured set: the monitoring was configured around DICT and telecom keywords, so the appointment's prominence reflects both its genuine consequence and the search terms behind the collection. The appointment matters because the DICT sets telecom and internet policy, runs the Free Wi-Fi program, and oversees the regulatory environment that carriers operate in.

Counter-narrative: The NTC's enforcement and consumer-protection actions ran alongside the leadership story. The ₱4.04 billion assessment against NOW Telecom and the clarification on refurbished-device rules both came from the same regulator on the same day, and both affect how telecom businesses and consumers operate.8191 These stories drew less attention than the appointment but carry direct consequences for the sector: a nine-figure fee dispute tests how the NTC computes what carriers owe, and the refurbished-device rules will shape the market for cheaper phones.

Emerging: Consumer-level service complaints surfaced across Reddit threads but did not generate news coverage. A Converge subscriber said technicians refused to fix a connection because the account holder — the subscriber's father — was not home, and asked whether the practice is standard.68 A GOMO user said Apple two-factor authentication codes and verification calls never arrived while ordinary SMS and GCash one-time passwords worked normally, and that the provider told them the issue fell outside its scope.69 These are individual accounts, not established patterns, but they show where subscriber friction is building.

Under-covered: The House approval of the SAFE KIDS Act, which would bar children under 13 from social media and restrict teenage access, drew a single item in the captured set despite its potential to reshape how platforms operate in the Philippines.86 The bill passed on Monday, October 12, with 287 votes in favor, and would require digital platforms to prohibit features that expose minors to harm. The CICC's disagreement with a separate Senate bill's age threshold — Executive Director Renato Paraiso said he favored "heavy regulation" of platforms with strict age verification rather than a flat ban — adds a policy split that received little attention.11

Platform insights

  • Reddit: The platform carried the most substantive consumer discussion. A thread on the new DICT secretary drew 53 comments and 63 upvotes, the most discussion of any single item in the material, with users focusing on de Claro's technical qualifications compared with Aguda's.61 Separate threads covered SIM registration difficulties, a Converge repair visit that stalled on the account-holder rule, and Apple verification codes failing to arrive on a GOMO number.66869 The tone mixed cautious hope with open doubt about whether the DICT would deliver.
  • Facebook: Government and institutional pages drove the platform's activity. The SSS post congratulating de Claro drew 33 likes, 36 loves, and 22 shares, the highest reaction count of any item.56 The Quezon City Government's anti-scam post drew 19 likes and 2 shares, and the CICC's hotline suspension advisory drew 5 comments.1413 Regional radio pages carried the DICT appointment in Ilocano and Cebuano, extending the story to audiences national outlets reach less directly.62
  • YouTube: News and sports channels carried video coverage. ABS-CBN's report of Marcos confirming Aguda's resignation drew 28,776 views, the most of any post on the resignation.16 One Sports' full-game highlights of the Nxled–PLDT volleyball match drew 40,764 views and 270 likes, the largest engagement of any single item on the sports story.43 The CICC's scam-reporting reel drew 17 likes and no shares.12
  • Instagram: One Sports' post about Brooke Van Sickle's return drew 8,185 views, 112 likes, and four shares.26 A PVL fan page post about the Nxled win drew 290 likes, the highest like count of any single item on the volleyball story.46 CIMB Bank Philippines used the platform to announce scheduled app maintenance from 10:00 PM on October 14 to midnight on October 15.70

Key voices and communities

Government and regulatory officials: President Marcos announced the appointment and cited de Claro's digital-economy background.55 De Claro pledged a three-month review and said he wants to extend the Free Wi-Fi program from 12,000 to 20,000 sites by year-end.4 CICC Executive Director Renato Paraiso said he was surprised by Senate Bill 2424, which would bar anyone under 18 from social media, and said the CICC instead wants heavy platform regulation with strict age verification.11 The NTC's Deputy Commissioner Alvin Blanco clarified the refurbished-device rules.93

Industry groups: FinTech Alliance PH, the country's largest digital finance industry group with more than 170 corporate members that it says account for over 95 percent of retail digital financial transaction volume, backed de Claro and named connectivity, cybersecurity and fraud prevention, and digital inclusion as priorities.4 Founding chairman Lito Villanueva said de Claro's record of digitalizing SSS services provides a strong foundation for the broader digital agenda.4

Reddit technology and consumer communities: Users on r/Philippines, r/Tech_Philippines, and r/InternetPH treated the appointment as a test of whether the DICT delivers, focusing on de Claro's computer science degree and comparing him with Aguda.5761 The same communities reported SIM registration problems, repair-visit disputes, and verification-code failures.66869

National and regional news outlets: BusinessMirror's Samuel P. Medenilla reported de Claro's review pledge and the FinTech Alliance PH endorsement.4 Rappler called Aguda's tenure "messy" and reported de Claro's credentials.58 Bombo Radyo carried the story in Cebuano and Ilocano, and the Bilyonaryo News Channel program "Agenda" asked why the Marcos administration has a "rigodon" of officials.186266

Sports media and fan pages: One Sports, Inquirer Sports, and The Manila Times covered the Nxled–PLDT volleyball match, with One Sports' highlight videos reaching the widest audience.233043 Fan pages on Facebook and Instagram generated celebratory graphics that circulated the result to casual audiences.46

Narrative streams

De Claro takes over the DICT with a three-month review and a Free Wi-Fi expansion target

De Claro told reporters after taking his oath that he would conduct a thorough review of all DICT projects, budgets, and procurement, and promised a clear plan within three months.4 He also said he would coordinate with the Free Wi-Fi program's provider to monitor sites, noting the program currently has 12,000 sites and is expected to reach 20,000 by the end of the year.4 The Free Wi-Fi program is a government initiative that provides free internet access in public places, and its expansion puts more sites into service, which could affect how the agency and its contractors work with carriers.

De Claro declined to comment on whether Aguda should be held liable for the ghost internet controversy, saying instead that his predecessor had implemented measures to improve ICT quality.4 The controversy involves a contractor for the Free Wi-Fi program that allegedly charged the government inflated prices for undelivered internet services.4 The Office of the Ombudsman has not announced any finding against Aguda.4

For telecom carriers and internet providers, the three-month review timeline creates a period of scrutiny over DICT projects and procurement. Whether the review produces changes to DICT contracting or program rules is not yet clear, but the Free Wi-Fi expansion will put more sites into service by year-end, which could overlap with existing broadband coverage. FinTech Alliance PH's stated priorities — connectivity, cybersecurity and fraud prevention, and digital inclusion — give a reading of where industry pressure on the DICT may build.4

The NTC orders NOW Telecom to pay ₱4.04 billion and clarifies refurbished-device rules

The NTC ordered NOW Telecom to pay ₱4.04 billion in outstanding supervision and regulation fees plus penalties, according to a disclosure from parent firm NOW Corp.81 The fees are the annual charges the NTC collects from telecom operators for supervising and regulating them. The NTC's demand letter, dated September 9, 2026, required payment on or before September 30, 2026, and referenced a Supreme Court Resolution dated April 21, 2026, involving NOW Telecom and the NTC.81 NOW Telecom disputed the basis of the assessment and asked the DICT and the NTC on October 9 to review, recompute, and reconcile the fees for each year beginning in 2005, citing discrepancies between the capital ratios reflected in its amounts and the regulator's computation.8193

The same day, the NTC said its draft rules on the importation and sale of refurbished mobile devices would apply only to businesses dealing in commercial quantities, not individuals selling or trading their own devices.91 Deputy Commissioner Alvin Blanco said "the public can still buy and sell these gadgets" provided the transactions do not involve commercial quantities.93 Under the proposal, commercial sales of refurbished devices would be limited to licensed dealers, and units must be legitimately sourced, compatible with Philippine mobile networks, properly sanitized, graded according to condition, and fully functional.93 The NTC said the rules aim to give consumers safer, affordable options, including properly refurbished 4G- and 5G-capable devices and laptops.93

For telecom operators, the NOW Telecom case tests how the NTC computes what carriers owe and how disputes over fee assessments are resolved. For consumers, the refurbished-device rules could expand the market for cheaper phones while adding requirements that dealers must meet. The NTC's clarification that individuals can still trade their own devices removes a concern that the rules would eliminate the secondhand market.91

The House approves a social media ban for children under 13

The House of Representatives approved on third and final reading a bill that would prohibit children below 13 years old from creating or using social media accounts and restrict access for teenagers to online features that expose them to harm or encourage excessive use.86 House Bill 11566, or the proposed Safe and Friendly Environment for Kids in Digital Spaces (SAFE KIDS) Act, passed on Monday, October 12, with 287 votes in favor, three against, and none abstaining.86 The bill seeks to address risks associated with children's use of social media and online gaming platforms, including cyberbullying, online grooming, sexual exploitation, and exposure to harmful content.86

The CICC's Executive Director Renato Paraiso said he was surprised by a separate Senate bill, Senate Bill 2424 filed by Sen. Robin Padilla, which would bar anyone under 18 from using social media and other high-risk digital services.11 Paraiso said the CICC instead wants what he called "heavy regulation" of the platforms, including having each platform maintain an office and run strict age verification, and said the CICC has no proposal on a proper age for social media use.11

For digital platforms and telecom carriers that provide internet access, the SAFE KIDS Act would require changes to how they verify ages and restrict features for minors. The bill still needs Senate approval and the President's signature before becoming law. The CICC's disagreement with the Senate bill's age threshold shows a policy split over how to regulate minors' online access.11

PLDT and Smart launch AI.Smart as subscribers report service problems

PLDT and Smart Communications announced on October 13 that they had launched AI.Smart, a homegrown artificial intelligence workspace.10 A Reddit user who described finding the service through a text notification said it bundles image generation, spreadsheets, slides, and documents into one portal, and posted the prices: a Solo plan at ₱49 for seven days, a Flex plan at ₱99 for 14 days, a Pro plan at ₱149 for 30 days, and a Max plan at ₱499 for 30 days with team seats.10 The same user said customers cannot pick the AI model themselves because the service routes each prompt to a model automatically, that credits expire and can only be stacked if a customer tops up before the expiry date, and that there is no public API, so the product is a consumer workspace only.10

On privacy, the user said PLDT and Smart claim files stay private, are not used for training, are encrypted, and that the service follows the Data Privacy Act, the Philippine law that sets rules for how personal information is handled.10 The user also said the companies cannot control what the outside AI providers do with data once it leaves their wrapper.10 The user described the output quality as middling, adding that the image generator uses what appears to be an older model.10 Neither PLDT nor Smart issued a public statement on the launch in the material, and no company spokesperson was named in connection with it.10

Separately, subscribers reported service concerns. A Converge ICT subscriber said technicians refused to repair a home internet connection on October 13 because the account holder — the subscriber's father, in whose name the account is registered — was not at the house, and asked whether the company really requires the account holder to be on site before service can be fixed.68 Converge had not publicly responded to the complaint as of the date of the post.68 A GOMO user said international two-factor authentication codes and verification calls from Apple servers were not being delivered to their number, even though regular SMS messages, GCash one-time passcodes, and SM Wi-Fi codes arrived normally on the same SIM, and that the block had persisted since October 9.69 The user said the SIM provider told them that because only Apple's messages were failing, the issue fell outside its scope and that they should contact Apple support.69

For PLDT and Smart, the AI.Smart launch adds a paid consumer product to their portfolio, and early user reaction will shape how it is received. The privacy claims and the user's doubt about downstream providers give a consumer-sentiment and pricing story that the companies will need to manage. For Converge, the account-holder requirement complaint is a service-experience issue that could affect customer satisfaction if similar reports accumulate. For GOMO, the verification-code failure shows a delivery fault distinct from the scam-driven code theft that telecom companies normally monitor.69

The CICC pushes scam verification while its hotline goes offline

The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), the government body that coordinates anti-cybercrime efforts, said on October 13 that victims of online scams should report them through its hotline at 1326.12 The same day, the CICC announced its hotline would be unavailable on Wednesday, October 14, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for scheduled operations, and directed the public to use its verified social media accounts, official email, website, and other contact numbers during the closure.13 The advisory also said complaints could be filed in person at the CICC Headquarters at Studio 7 along EDSA Highway.13

The Quezon City Government said it was joining the effort for a scam-free and digitally safe Philippines, advising the public not to click links, give personal information, or send money without verification, and directing people to verify through ScamSafe before trusting an online transaction.14 The post listed contact channels including the CICC hotline at 1326, ScamSafe on Facebook, a ScamSafePH Instagram account, and a Scam Verification Portal, and had drawn 19 likes and 2 shares as of October 13.14 The CICC also highlighted its participation in the kickoff of the Philippine leg of the Scam Ready ASEAN Program, with Executive Director Aboy Paraiso saying the agency remains ready to respond to reports from the public alongside other law enforcement agencies and private stakeholders.12

For telecom carriers and banks, the hotline downtime covers a full working day, and the hotline is the number the agency itself promotes for scam reports. Customers who need to report SIM swap fraud, smishing, or bank OTP fraud will need to use the CICC's alternate channels during that window. The agency's promotion of ScamSafe as its verification tool gives companies a portal to link to in their customer-facing scam advisories.14

Nxled sweeps PLDT in the PVL opener as Van Sickle returns

Nxled beat PLDT in straight sets, 25-16, 25-20, 25-18, to open its 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference Siklab Series campaign at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on October 13, 2026.23 The PVL is the top professional volleyball league in the Philippines, and PLDT fields a team called the High Speed Hitters while Nxled fields the Chameleons.23 Brooke Van Sickle, returning from a shoulder injury, led the Chameleons with 11 points and eight excellent digs, and Gel Cayuna set 14 excellent sets.23 Savi Davison paced PLDT with 10 points, 18 excellent receptions, and seven digs.23

One Sports, the league's broadcast partner, published set-by-set highlight videos on YouTube after the match. The first-set highlights drew 25,228 views and 75 likes; the second-set highlights drew 13,850 views and 47 likes; and the third-set highlights drew 8,968 views and 41 likes as of October 13.303129 The full-game highlights video drew 40,764 views and 270 likes, the largest engagement of any item on the story.43 On Instagram, a PVL fan page post about the match drew 290 likes, the highest like count of any single item on the volleyball story.46

The loss dropped PLDT in its opening game of the conference, while Nxled joined early leaders Creamline, Choco Mucho, and Farm Fresh with a 1-0 record.95 PLDT was the defending champion of the PVL Invitational Conference earlier in 2026, having swept 13 games on the way to the All-Filipino title, and Nxled had already beaten it in the Invitational, 25-19, 25-22, 25-20, for Nxled's first win of that tournament.4738 PLDT later salvaged bronze in the Invitational by beating Creamline in four sets.42

For PLDT, the volleyball result is a marketing fact rather than a service fact: the company's brand name travelled through sports feeds carrying volleyball coverage, reaching a local sports audience rather than a broad public. The engagement is modest — 112 likes and four shares on the Instagram post, 1,356 views on the top highlight video — so this is team brand health, not service reputation.2624 The conference continues with Nxled's next game on Saturday, when the team that swept its opener meets Farm Fresh, which also opened with a win.32

Conversation trajectory

Watch for de Claro's three-month plan (window: through mid-January 2027). De Claro said he will produce a clear plan for the DICT within three months of taking office on October 13.4 The plan's contents — particularly what it says about Free Wi-Fi sites, which he said number 12,000 and are expected to reach 20,000 by year-end — will indicate whether the agency changes its contracting or program rules. The trigger event is the release of the plan itself, which de Claro has committed to delivering.4

Track the Ombudsman inquiry into the ghost internet scheme (window: no fixed date). The Office of the Ombudsman has not announced any finding against Aguda, and de Claro has not said whether he considers his predecessor liable.4 Any findings could implicate telecom contractors and licensing decisions, not just officials. The trigger event is an Ombudsman announcement or a DICT statement on the investigation's status.15

Monitor the NOW Telecom fee dispute (window: through the next NTC or NOW Corp. disclosure). NOW Telecom asked the DICT and the NTC on October 9 to review and recompute the fees, and the NTC's demand letter required payment by September 30.81 The trigger event is the NTC's response to the request or a new disclosure from NOW Corp. on the dispute's status.93

Watch the SAFE KIDS Act in the Senate (window: the current congressional session). The House approved the bill on October 12, and it now moves to the Senate, where a separate bill with a different age threshold — Senate Bill 2424, which would bar anyone under 18 — is also pending.8611 The trigger event is Senate committee action or a floor vote on either measure. Any restriction on platforms affects the online channels that telecom companies and digital platforms operate.86

Track the CICC hotline resumption and Scam Ready ASEAN program (window: October 15 onward). The CICC hotline at 1326 will be unavailable on October 14 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the agency has directed the public to alternate channels.13 The trigger event is the hotline's resumption on October 15 and any announcements from the Scam Ready ASEAN program on private-sector participation, since the CICC names private stakeholders as response partners.12

Monitor AI.Smart's early user reaction (window: the next two to four weeks). The product launched on October 13, and the pricing, credit rules, privacy claims, and quality assessment all come from a subscriber account, not a company announcement.10 The trigger event is PLDT or Smart publishing its own terms on the AI.Smart privacy claim, which would separate the company's stated position from the user's doubt about downstream providers.10

Response guidance

For telecom carriers and internet providers: prepare for DICT scrutiny during the three-month review. De Claro has committed to reviewing all DICT projects, budgets, and procurement, and the Free Wi-Fi expansion from 12,000 to 20,000 sites will put more sites into service by year-end.4 Companies that work with the DICT or its contractors should be ready to answer questions about their own procurement and service delivery, and should track any changes to DICT contracting rules that could affect their operations.

For digital finance and fintech companies: align messaging with FinTech Alliance PH's stated priorities. The industry group has publicly asked de Claro to focus on connectivity, cybersecurity and fraud prevention, and digital inclusion.4 Companies in this space can use those priorities as a framework for engaging with the new DICT leadership and for positioning their own products and services.

For banks and e-wallets: review customer-facing scam advisories to include the CICC's alternate channels. The CICC hotline at 1326 will be offline on October 14 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the agency has directed the public to its verified social media accounts, official email, website, and other contact numbers.13 Banks and e-wallets that link to the hotline in their fraud-prevention materials should update those links or add the alternate channels for the duration of the closure.

For mobile operators: treat the GOMO verification-code failure as a distinct issue from scam-driven code theft. The user reported that Apple two-factor authentication codes and verification calls never arrived while ordinary SMS and GCash one-time passwords worked normally, and that the provider told them the issue fell outside its scope.69 Operators should be prepared to handle similar reports and to explain the difference between a delivery fault and a fraud-driven code interception.

For internet service providers: review account-holder requirements for repair visits. A Converge subscriber said technicians refused to repair a connection because the named account holder was absent, and asked whether the practice is standard.68 Providers that require the account holder to be present should ensure their policies are clearly communicated to customers and that technicians can handle common situations, such as when the account holder is away.

For digital platforms: prepare for age-verification requirements under the SAFE KIDS Act. The House-approved bill would bar children under 13 from social media and restrict access for teenagers aged 13 to below 18, and would require platforms to prohibit features that expose minors to harm.86 Platforms should track the bill's progress in the Senate and assess what changes to their age-verification systems would be needed if it becomes law.

For all telecom and digital companies: monitor the NOW Telecom fee dispute as a test case. The NTC ordered NOW Telecom to pay ₱4.04 billion in supervision and regulation fees plus penalties, and the company has disputed the basis of the assessment.81 The outcome will indicate how the NTC handles fee disputes and what it expects from carriers in terms of documentation and payment.

For companies with sports sponsorships: separate team results from service messaging. PLDT's volleyball team lost its opening match of the PVL All-Filipino Conference, and the result circulated through sports feeds on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.2343 Companies that sponsor sports teams should track team-related coverage separately from service-related coverage, since the two reach different audiences and carry different implications for brand reputation.47
